Japanese fastball pitcher Roki Sasaki (24) officially joined the Major League Baseball (MLB) LA Dodgers.
The Dodgers officially announced the recruitment of Sasaki on its official SNS on the 23rd (Korea time) with the words "Welcome to Los Angeles, Roki Sasaki!"먹튀검증
The contract was announced four days after he reportedly agreed to a minor league contract with Sasaki on the 19th.
Sasaki, who started his professional career with the Chiba Lotte Marines in 2021, pitched 394 ⅔ innings in 69 games during his four seasons in the Japanese professional baseball (NPB) with a 29-15 record and a 2.10 ERA.
In particular, he recorded 19 strikeouts and no runs in 9 innings against the Orix Buffaloes in 2022, achieving the perfect record for the youngest NPB (20 years and 5 months).
In 2024, he played in 111 innings in 18 games and recorded 10-5 losses and a 2.35 ERA, and entered the MLB with the permission of his team Chiba Lotte.
